White brick, columned portico, and a red clay roof meld to create the stately and elegant Georgian Restoration. Five thousand feet of living area was seamless added to the original 1930’s structure, originally designed by John Volk, which received the coveted Ballinger Award upon completion. Impact doors and windows were constructed to the original sizes and profiles, exquisite P.E. Guerin hardware and plumbing fittings adorn the house throughout along with the complete replacement of all the structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Each brick on the exterior was carefully removed, cleaned and replaced and new bricks for the addition were molded from the old ones to exactly match the size shape of the originals. French polished cabinetry fabricated in France was installed in the master bedroom and library and antique Italian marbles were installed in perfect balance among new locally sourced millwork, stones, ironwork and plasters.
